About Cape York

Cape York covers about 208,000 square kilometres and is one of the most beautiful and diverse natural wilderness areas left on Earth today.

Cape York has high rainforest-clad mountains, low lying wetlands and rolling granite hills.  This region has rivers that flow east and west and was full of gold once upon a time.

Along the way, you will view huge waterfalls, white sandy beaches, towering escarpments and low lying savannah country.

Flora and fauna range from the most delicate orchids to the most robust melancholias, home to thousands of birds, animals, and reptiles.

The Great Barrier Reef runs parallel to the east coast of Cape York.

The Great Barrier Reef comprises thousands of reefs and hundreds of islands that stretch from New Guinea to Fraser Island in the Southeast part of Queensland.
